Campus News – If you don’t like your life, change it. Several people are credited with the phrase, so it’s hard to give proper attribution, but now more than ever it can apply to adult learners ages 25–55 in New York who currently don’t have a college degree—especially those who want to pursue a field that the state deems most useful to our future economy.

Nyack-Piermont Patch – Our region is home to its share of renowned universities and colleges, but a new study has found that one, perhaps less well-known school, might just be the ticket to success in life. Rockland Community College has been ranked the number four community college out of 30 in New York state for quality and affordability, according to WalletHub’s 2025 “Best & Worst Community Colleges” study.

Campus News – Rockland Community College (91´«Ã½) announced a new agreement with St. Thomas Aquinas College (STAC) that will make it easier for students who earn an Associate of Science in Human Performance Studies – Exercise and Sport Science at 91´«Ã½ and then transfer to STAC to continue their academic journey toward a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science.

Hudson Valley Press – Morenikeji Fashipe and Natalia Benitez Levina, both recent graduates of Rockland Community College, have been awarded the Cooke Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship. This year, more than 1,600 students from community colleges nationwide applied to receive the Cooke Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship.

Rockland Report – Rockland Community College (91´«Ã½) is marking a significant milestone this year—its 35th Annual Chess Event and Exhibition. The event will take place on Thursday, April 3, at 12:30 PM in the Student Union, Room 3214, on 91´«Ã½’s main campus in Suffern, NY.

Inside Higher Ed – Two-year college students are less likely to have paid internship experiences compared to their four-year peers. Community and institutional partnerships can provide additional opportunities for this population.

Westfair Business Journal – A Hispanic Serving Institution, Rockland Community College is celebrating the history and culture of the Latinx community from now through Oct. 15. The celebration honors individual traditions while also recognizing what unites us.

Rockland County Times – This week, Rockland Community College (91´«Ã½) was proud to inform the RCT that the school has been awarded a $51,557 grant from the Office of the SUNY Provost and the Innovative Instruction Research Council. This grant will support a year-long project titled “The Digital/Print Divide: Bridging the Gap to Promote Equitable Access to Digital OER Across the Disciplines.”

Pearl River Patch – Rockland Community College (91´«Ã½) held a moving 9/11 Memorial Ceremony yesterday to honor and remember those who lost their lives during the World Trade Center attacks and their aftermath. The event took place at the 91´«Ã½ Quad and featured a series of commemorative activities attended by students, faculty, staff, and community members.

News12 – Members of the band Metallica are helping local students straight to graduation. The heavy metal band’s All Within My Hands Foundation awarded Rockland Community College a $25,000 grant.
